Project Cars

Intro

Project Cars  is an upcoming motorsport simulation game developed by the British video game developer Slightly Mad Studios. It is scheduled to be released on 17 March 2015 in the US and 20 March 2015 in Europe for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, while the Wii U and SteamOS/Linux versions have been delayed to later in 2015. Project CARS was originally also due for release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but it was later announced that these versions had been cancelled.

The finished product is intended to represent a realistic driving simulation. In order to differentiate the game from the established industry leaders, Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, Slightly Mad Studios' aim is a "sandbox" approach that allows the player to choose between a variety of different motorsports paths and grants immediate access to all included tracks and vehicles. Project CARS will portray racing events spanning multiple days, progressing from shakedown and qualifying runs to the race itself, while changes in weather and lighting conditions are simulated dynamically

Physics Simulation

The game adopts an improved version of the Madness engine, which was the basis for the Need for Speed: Shift titles. More processing power available in modern computers allows for the introduction of a dynamic tire model named "SETA", rather than the steady-state model based on lookup tables , as seen in previous generation simulations. To accommodate differing skill levels, Slightly Mad Studios offers gamers (with or without a digital wheel) various driver aids and input filtering methods.

Content in the Game

There are over 67 drivable cars and over 52 race tracks (not including circuit layouts) confirmed to be included either in the first release or a following DLC. This number includes the "Test Track" used for testing alpha builds of the game but may be removed in the final release. For licensing reasons, some tracks are currently codenamed using their geographic location. In addition to real world racing circuits and fictional kart circuits, there are two fictional point-to-point roads inspired by Côte d'Azur and California Pacific Coast.

Virtual Reality Headsets for Better Experience

On 26 August 2012 support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset was announced on the official forums. The announcement stated that at least one Oculus Rift Development Kit has been ordered. Members of the project are able to follow a link referenced in the forum post to read more details.

Sony's PlayStation 4 virtual reality headset Project Morpheus will also be supported.

Graphics

Project Cars not only include Real World Racing Tracks but Also Real World Graphics. As you can see below the Screenshots and the Real World Photographs Does not Differ much between Real World and Project Cars.

Hard to Differ? Yeah it is. And Also Notice the Fact is that the Funding for the game was raised by the community and the developers themselves, without the financial aid of a traditional publisher. Through the purchase of Tool Packs players could contribute to development in roles including content creation, QA, and marketing media.  That's what make it Unique.

Total War: Attila the Hun invades Rome in February

Initial release date: February 17, 2015

Back to Dark Ages. The installment of the next multi award-winning PC series that combines turn-based strategy with real-time tactics, Total War: ATTILA casts players back to 395 AD. A time of apocalyptic turmoil at the very dawn of the Dark Ages.

Against a darkening background of famine, disease and war, where refugees in their thousands flee from a sweeping tide of destruction and death. Desperate barbaric tribes rally against the ailing might of a dying and divided Roman empire; the light of civilization gutters and dims. In the great steppes of Scythia, a vast and terrifying force gathers, led by a warrior king whose thirst for conquest is utterly unequaled. new power is rising in the great steppes of the East. With a million horsemen at his back, the ultimate warrior king approaches, and his sights are set on Rome…

Total War: Attila introduces new gameplay mechanics which improve and add to numerous core turn-based and real-time Total War systems. The world will darken around you as Attila’s forces descend on your homeland creating a unique vision of survival strategy. It’ll definitely be a blend of grand turn-based strategy, political decisions, and large-scale real-time-combat.

A world on the way to Change

Set in 395AD, Attila shows a world very different to what Total War typically likes to demonstrate. The Roman Empire is no longer the huge dominating force it once was; instead of a powerful, regimented armoured fist, it is a bloated and confused mess of an administration on its way to collapse. As a result of taking command of the empire much later in its lifetime, you’ll start Attila with far more territory, but with its cities and political system in chaos. You’ll have to try and quickly reign in the madness, choosing what territories you can afford to lose and which need to be defended, because there’s another kind of society out there in the world.

Unleash the horde

Key to Atilla’s design is hordes. Rather than the organised ranks and garrisons of the Roman empire, Attila and his armies were ever-mobile, constantly on the move as they raided and pillaged through multiple territories every year. As such, a horde faction operates very differently to a traditional Total War army. They’re not just soldiers; wherever they go they can construct camps to rest up in, making them more effective on the road than regular armies. Some horde factions can even take over settlements and attempt to live a more traditional way of life, although rapid expansion is required to prosper. Ten of Attila’s 56 factions will begin life as a horde, meaning they won’t have a capital city or home region, but will be ready to rampage across the continent.

Winter is coming

Attila the Hun and his colossal army may be on the front of the box, but he’s not Total War’s biggest threat. The real villain you really need to look out for is negative number temperatures. As Attila's campaign rages on, the more northern territories start to suffer from colder and longer winters. As areas become chillier, their productivity will plummet. Armies stationed in the north will begin to starve and die. This will force whoever controls these territories to migrate south, leaving them no option but declaring war on the occupants of warmer lands. It’s a system that should help prevent stagnation in the later stages of a campaign, ensuring constant movement and hardened defenses. Regardless of your expansion plans, at some point you’ll either have to fend off immigrant armies or perform a hostile takeover of a sunny resort for yourself.

Whipping up a firestorm

Creative Assembly has been installing a great chunk of new tech into Attila, and it’s most notable in the new Dynamic Fire Simulation. Not only do we get some beautiful flame effects, but fire realistically spreads and burns. Considering a great deal of Attila’s fortresses and towns will be made of wood, this provides great opportunities for reducing your enemies to smouldering ash without sacrificing hundreds of troops. The simulation also replicates fire spread, which is affected by the weather, so only takes one flaming projectile fired into the right place and a good gust of wind to cause a whole town to become a roaring furnace.

Total War: Attila release date

Distinct levels of Siege

Attila will feature distinct levels of siege, meaning the longer you surround a settlement, the worse the situation will become for your enemy. Previous Total War games would see garrison forces dwindle as the siege went on, but in Attila the physical town will deteriorate, opening up cracks in defenses that can be exploited when you finally decide to march on the gates.

If you’re on the receiving end of a siege party, just because your walls are crumbling and half your men have died of starvation doesn’t mean you’re out of options. You’ll be able to put up special defense structures before the battle starts, and provided you lay them down with a strategic hand, you can funnel enemy troops into bottlenecks and traps.

Evolve (2015) Releasing

Evolve is an asymmetrical, cooperative/competitive first-person shooter video game, developed by Turtle Rock Studios and published by 2K Games.

It pits four player-controlled Hunters against a ‘Monster’ controlled by a fifth player. Both Hunters and Monsters can use unique abilities during the game, and the Monster player can kill other smaller creatures to evolve and become stronger by entering a cocoon stage.

The game will feature a variety of maps, one of which being a large jungle, with some industrial elements where players can take shelter. There are various power-ups that both Hunters and Monsters can obtain by killing the local wildlife. The Hunters are tasked with killing the Monster; while the Monster must either kill all four Hunters, or complete a secondary objective such as destroying a human base or power plant.

The main focus of Evolve is the Multiplayer, however there is also a single-player campaign.

This teaser video for The Order: 1886 is super creepy

A new teaser video for The Order 1886 has been revealed and it shows the story of a young boy Bobby Paige who stays late at night and one night he had been bitten by a werewolf or something more deadly. The trailer is creepy and scary and we still don’t know what would be the role of Bobby Paige in the upcoming title but one thing is clear, it will be a scary one.
“[The] world is immense enough that a team of 100 something developers can believe in it, can feel like they can work in it for years to come,” said Ready at Dawn CEO and creative director Ru Weerasuriya."

“In order to do that we have to pour so much energy not into the story, the story came afterwards, but the lore. All of that had to exist first and foremost.”

Here’s the entire poem, which is sang in nursery rhyme form:
Little Bobby Paige was bold
Even when just nine years old
Staying out too late one night
He came home with a bloody bite
As daytime waned and darkness dropped
All noises in the household stopped
Bobby awoke, no longer him
And tore his parents limb from limb

The Order 1886 is slated for a February release date and is coming exclusively on Sony PS4. Check out the creepy teaser trailer:

Everything You Need to Know About Dying Light

Everything You Need to Know About Dying Light

Dying Light is the latest and greatest from Techland, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Dead Island. But don’t worry, it is nothing like Dead Island.. Yes, there are some elements borrowed but apart from those, Dying Light is an entirely different game and that is one of the best things about it. It is an open world, survival/horror game but unlike most of the gems of this genre, it has a twist. Dying Light features a day/night circle that makes it stand out from the rest. Apart from changing the environment, the game also amps up the difficulty level by adding more zombies as well as making them more aggressive and faster. But playing through the night is optional, if you want to skip the night, simply go to a safe house and sleep. However, if you are daring enough, you can survive the entire night and earn double points for everything you do.

Today we are going to explore all the aspects of Dying Light as well as some collectibles that can be obtained while you are out in the open, caving zombie skulls in or simply running away from them.

Skills

Dying Light can be classified as a role-playing game of sorts. The game has a skill-tree that is focused on 3 different skills. The skill-tree is something that will look familiar to those who have played Far Cry 3. Each skill-tree is different and is focused on different aspects of the player. The skill tree works in the progression system. Player will be rewarded points for the things they will do in the game. The skills are; Agility, Power and Survivor. Let’s take a brief look at these 3 skills.

Agility: As the name suggests, the agility skills are based on player’s ability to free-running. Dying Light’s free running matches the like of Mirror’s Edge and is a treat to utilise. The better upgrades you have in this skill-tree, the better you will be able to traverse the city.

Power: This skill is focused on the player’s ability of shedding out damage to the enemies (humans and zombies). Apart from that, this skill-tree also focuses on how well the weapons are handled, increasing their overall durability.

Survivor: As compared to the rest of the skills, this skill-tree gets upgraded when player completes several side missions or the story missions. These skills are focused on the player’s way of taking damage and other aspects such as increasing the total capacity of your backpack or increasing the amount of damage you can withstand.

What Are Quarantine Zones

Dying Light has a total of 8 quarantine zones spread across the entire map. Five of the quarantine zones can be found in the slums, as for the other 3; players can find them spread across the old-town, Once you discover a quarantine zone, a red biohazard icon will appear on your map. Most quarantine zones are labeled with hard difficulty but with the help of the right skills and weapons, going through them isn’t that difficult. Most of the quarantine zones are for killing zombies, however, you can find a lot of supply drops in some of them. Completing all 8 of them will grant you an achievement or a trophy, depending on the platform you are playing on.

Clothing in Dying Light

Dying Light gives us the ability to customise our character’s appearance, the customisation is only cosmetic and doesn’t run too deep. This  means you can only change the looks of your character. The game offers a total of 7 outfits that you can unlock. There are more that will be granted as DLCs. Once you unlock all the outfits, you can simply change them by heading to your nearby player stash and selecting the one you like the most. The names of outfits that can be unlocked are listed below.

  • Fresh clothes.

  • Athlete.

  • Scout.

  • Survivor.

  • Headhunter.

  • Juggernaut.

Blueprints & Crafting

Blueprints are scattered throughout the world of Harran and are rewarded at times for completing different quests. Blueprints can also be find in hidden crates and dead bodies. Once you have found a blueprint, you can that create a weapon out of that using the required material to craft a weapon. While some of the blueprints turn out into really powerful weapons, others don’t deal much damage. But you can always sell the weapons you don’t want.

Dying Light also gives the player the ability to craft items using the material found in the world. Players can craft different sorts of stuff using the materials they have in their possession. Weapons, med-kits, lock-picks, flares and fire-crackers are among some of the things players can craft. One of the good things about Dying Light is the fact how all the crafting materials are put into one section so it doesn’t confuse players or by mistake make them sell the important material needed to craft a powerful weapon.

How to Find a Gun

Dying Light is one of the few games that focuses on the player’s ability to survive on the given equipment, once you start the game, it won’t be easy for you to find a firearm since they are only available once you progress in the game. However, if you are still in the early phases and you’re looking for a firearm, there is a way to get your hands on one. Open the main map of the slums and look for a small house that is located on the south-east, once you go there, you will find a pile of food and water and a sign saying that they are free to take. Go inside the house and you will find a man who has shot himself with the pistol, look near his body and you will find the pistol. You can pick that pistol up and use it.

Caution: Firearms aren’t supposed to be used widely, the ammo is scarce and firing a shot will attract an awful lot of zombies your way. It is also advised to use firearms on human enemies since they are a bit harder to kill.

Be The Zombie Mode

One of the best and most surprising things about Dying Light is its Be The Zombie Mode. The name pretty much explains it all, in this mode, players get to fulfill their dreams of playing as a zombie. It works in a quite ingenious way, this mode lets the player become a zombie and freely raid other games as a zombie. Once the players raid the other game, the human opponents will be given the task to kill all the spawning hives in the area they will be playing in. To win, the zombies must kill all the human(s) to stop them and the human(s) should do the same.

Zombies will be extremely weak when exposed to UV light so they will need to be careful and stick to the shadows. However, they will be equipped with the ability to use their tentacles so they can easily grapple their way through buildings, and if the zombies manage to remain undetected, they can easily kill off the humans by just a grapple. Human players will have the ability to use their survival instincts to highlight nearby zombies on the mini-map and zombies can do the same by using the howl.
